A Daily Prayer:
Our Father God, your are the most amazing in all the universe!
We want to be part of your Kingdom, and we want to be loving and living by your Word.
Help us do the good work You have given us to do today. You are our helper, and we trust you to give us just what it is we need for doing that today.
Forgive us when we let go of your love and do not remember to thank you for your great big helping hands. We know you will forget our rudeness in the same way we forgive others of the things they owe back to us. Thank you for giving us each other to help each other!
Lead us away from following things that pretend to be as great or good or kind or true as you are. Bring us out and separate us from things that are just plain bad and gross to you. Nothing can compare to You, and nothing at all can separate us from Your love!
Each and every new day, please show our eyes and ears and feet and hands and mouths and hearts and minds how to be close to you and how to live with your smiling face over us.
Thank you for the community of peace and justice and mercy that you have made for us, to live with you here on Earth, and also someday in Heaven.
Keep us strong within your power, and thank you for making us a part of your bright shiny kingdom forever.
Amen

How you can impact the battle against Leukemia today-one human being at a time
Amit got a 10/10 match, and starts transplant treatment soon! Prayers and thanks to God. Hoping he can celebrate the 5 yr mark battling Leukemia. Have you joined the registry? It takes less than 2 hours of your time to register, then follow the kit instructions received by mail. If you are a match, donation is fairly painless and for the inconvenience another human being battling Lukemia has a fighting chance.

Waking Up-what would happen without books, blogs, PSPs, commericals, phonecalls, and bitter feelings to fill our thought spaces?
Had a question on my mind when I first woke up today, but I did not know what the question was, only the feeling of it.
So I said (silently) "What is it God? What is the question?"
After a bit of reflection and sorting, getting a drink of water and a leftover browie while searching for my bible, it was "Where does your family find thier time and spaces in Me?" and then a bit later in the day I was reminded that today marks the 16th year since my second child died at birth. And the question was " What laundry can we get washed out today?" (Malachi 3)
And then I realized I almost always start a day this way if I wake up before the world starts spinning too loud. If I am in bed and it is quiet I talk to Him, I reflect on Him, I imbibe. And I realize today this is one place and time in my life which make sense and finds peace. It is more than a practice, and even more than a habit. It is a way of thinking and being and it is a gift if we can find Him in the chaos, in the storm, in the flurry, in the excitement, the fear, the anger, the suspicions and solicitations and all those distractions that will pull one this way and that.
